Tui Na Therapeutic Massage (pronounced “tway nah”)

Tuina translates to “push and grasp.” This massage technique is a form of acupressure and works on the energy channels and points of the body. This treatment uses the same principles as acupuncture, but the hands and fingers are used instead of needles.

Through a combination of massage and acupressure, Tuina applies pressure to acupoints, meridians and groups of muscles, or nerves to remove blockages that prevent the free flow of Qi. Qi is pronounced “Chi” and is the vital life force, or energy that flows through the body.

*This is an addition to Acupuncture Treatments upon request, or the Practitioners recommendation. An additional cost of $30.00 is applied.*
